Job description:
In particular, the main tasks will involve:

  • developing photoelectrochemical methods for organic synthesis,
  • developing electrochemical methods for organic synthesis,
  • analytical characterization of synthesized compounds,
  • developing of new interfacial photoelectrochemical reactions (anodic oxidation and cathodic reduction)
  • determining mechanism of developed reactions
  • supervising students on a daily bases
  • preparation of manuscripts and reports
  • literature and data analysis

Envisaged job starting date: 01.11.2025

Requirements:
PhD degree in chemistry;
Required competences

  • experience in organic chemistry or related;
  • other skills include analysis and interpretation of experimental data (NMR, MS, UV/Vis);
  • demonstrated experience in research work will be an asset;
  • good written and oral communication skills in English;
  • Personal skills: strong motivation for scientific work, ambition, creativity, goal-orientation, responsibility, ability to work independently as well as in a group; excellent communications, organization and time management skills, willingness to learn, analytical thinking and critical problem solving skills;
Desirable competences
  • excellent knowledge of organic chemistry and organometallic chemistry,
  • data analysis and interpretation, especially in trouble shooting during the research;
  • basic knowledge of rules and protocols valid in organic chemistry labs;
Candidate evaluation criteria:
  • competences of candidates for specific tasks in a research project
  • previous scientific achievements of candidates
  • awards and distinctions of the candidate resulting from the conducted research
  • language knowledge enabling conducting scientific research

Envisaged job starting date: 01.11.2025

Terms of employment: scholarship for 48 months - stipend (including employer’s costs) 5,000 PLN per month paid for 48 months

Requirements:

  • Master degree in chemistry
